Outfit Balance

Have you ever put an outfit together and thought to yourself, “something just doesn’t look right,” but you weren’t quite sure what it was? Well, there’s a good chance that it was just that your outfit was out of balance. What does that mean? Well, basically you can take your outfit from looking a little drab to just FAB! Let me demonstrate.! 🙂

P.S. For demonstration purposes, I kept these outfits pretty basic with similar colored pieces, but with different cuts. I wanted you see how something as simple as the cut of a clothing piece can completely change the look of your outfit.

Okay, let’s get started!

If you’re wearing fitted clothing on the bottom (i.e. leggings, skinny jeans, pencil skirt), then wear loose fitted clothing on top.

If you’re wearing loose fitted clothing on the bottom (i.e. A-line skirt, loose fitted pants or jeans), then wear fitted clothing on top.

The same rules apply for the opposite.

If you’re wearing fitted clothing on top, then wear loose fitted clothing on bottom.

That’s it for today’s lesson! Now go make yourself look FAB! Happy outfit building! 🙂
