Pattern Mix Up

One of my FAVE things to do right now is to mix patterns. I think it creates a SUPER fun visual interest. Anything that creates visual interest in an outfit, without making the outfit look like a mess is a plus!

Tee – Alloy,  Scarf, Cardigan – Bella Me Boutique Logan, Boots – Ross, Jeans – DownEast (these jeans are only available in DownEast Home & Clothing Stores),  All Jewelry, Makeup, Hair Products – mark. Boutique by Jill

The main thing to keep in mind when mixing patterns, is to pick one pattern as the dominant pattern. You don’t want all the patterns to be competing with each other. The dominant pattern in my outfit is the houndstooth scarf, the second pattern is the striped tee and then third is the polka dot bracelet. The black and white of each of them tied them all together.
